Prenatalis® – Trusted Medical Quality

Since mid-2014 Prenatalis® NIPT is part of the diagnostics portfolio of the Center for Human Genetics and Laboratory Diagnostics in Martinsried, Germany. Non-invasive prenatal genetic testing is performed on cell-free fetal DNA (cffDNA) circulating in maternal blood. The Prenatalis® test is based on the Illumina verifi® method that has been established and validated at the laboratory in Martinsried in cooperation with Illumina. Patient education and genetic counseling prior to taking the test and after the results are provided are essential parts of the German Gene Diagnostics Act (GenDG).

Prenatalis® NIPT is applicable for single and twin pregnancies from 10 weeks of gestation. The test can also serve to classify the gender of your unborn child. According to the German Gene Diagnostics Act, gender information must be withheld until week 14 of pregnancy (p.m. postmenstrual).

Prenatalis® is conducted and analyzed completely under medical supervison in Martinsried. It strictly complies with German data privacy laws and the quality demands set down by Germany´s National Accreditation Body (DAkkS).
